An app for HER (and anybody who cares for her) that will help her through every steps of her womanhood.

Naari , our app, is possibilities and  oppurtunities for women to share experiences and views on health concerns of women. From pregnancy to childbirth, period tracking to fertility tracking, sexual and reproductive to general women health issues; the app is a platform where the experts and wise people will provide with their suggestions to the one who seek those suggestions.

The dual language concept i.e both english and nepali will make our app more accessible.  

The users can choose the 'global' platform through which the user can connect with women worldwide,or can connect locally through the 'local' platform through which we aim at addressing the concerns of women who feel that their problems would be better solved by women from their own cultural traditional background.

Our family notification and childgrowth milestones features will make the user more connected to their family.

    The emotional and rational feature of our app merged into one will provide a zeal to the developers as well as the users. User will be benifited through our app and we'll be benefited through recognition, financial benefit as well as credabilty that our app will provide us with.

Feedback form our colleagues and randomly selected audiences was what motivated us to take a step further in refining our idea.


Business Plan

Estimated Human Resources :

We'll require just a few number of human resources to turn our idea into real app. ( 3-4 developers, 1-2 health experts)


Purpose :

We got into this idea while searching the solutions to our own problems. We felt that many of  our problems were not being addressed in the available resourses. "So why not build our own and trendify it" was the first thing that stroke our mind making the main purpose of our app to solve our own problem.


Problem :

Even though we live in this modern era of development and advancement of technologies, the women of countries like ours are still held back due to insufficient knowledge and guidance through various periods of womanhood. 

It is seen that women mostly hesitate to speak out their problems and are unable to find help to the most beautiful gifts bestowed by the nature (their first menstruation to being a mother for the first time)  
Apart from this, it is seen that women don't have adequate sexual and reproductive health knowledge.


Solution :

Our team has kept the women issues in mind and has a dedication to solve this problem to give a better present and future to the women of developing countries like ours by blending our technical knowledge with the business plan.


Timeline :

By the end of the year 2016, we've decided to scale-up our app though our beta version is being tested continously.


Market Research :

The "lead with the culture" idea that we are taping in will be implemented first time in our app in the whole country. We did a thorough SWOT analysis ou our app which goes as below:


Strength:   

The idea when implemented will be the first of its kind in Nepal. 

The idea has a clear target group .

Opportunities to interact among people of similar and different backgrounds. 

Weakness: 

Unavailable to the Non-Smartphone population.

Team members are relatively starters in technical aspects of app development. 

The technical aspects of the product is not complete yet. 

Opportunities: 

The idea has a potential to grow into a trend.

Potential target group is a big population. 

There is a good business prospect from advertisement of women’s products. 

Threats: 

Rise of similar apps. 

Complications that arise with a huge database. 

Difficult to monitor discipline in the queries/replies section.


Intended Customer :

Technology always comes in handy when someone goes for business. We decide to promote our app through virtual environments like facebook, youtube etc.
The semi-health prod​ucts ( eg: sanitary napkins, boy lotions ect.)  dedicated to women will be our target  costumers.
